Spend a day in the ‘boots’ of a traditional Mexican Charro and be part of a Charreada (rodeo) on a guided tour where you will learn why the Charro is a UNESCO recognized identity of  Mexican culture. Get picked up and begin your tour with a bit of city history as you drive through historic neighborhoods that were very important at the beginning of Charrería history.  Arrive at the Lienzo, a type of cowboy arena, where a Charro will welcome you and give you an introduction to the origins of the Mexican Charro in the arena’s museum.  See the fantastic collection of different accessories and traditional costumes that Charros use every Sunday in the Charreada, which is a competitive event similar to a rodeo. Excellent! an unforgettable visit. Thank you! for preserving the National sport, they are a pride for Mexico. Very friendly hosts with all the willingness to answer questions, respectful treatment and very patient. A tour of the Charra culture, the making of the Charro hat, interacting with the horses to connect with them and be able to ride them. Super!!

We had an amazing experience. We went on a Sunday so was also able to witness the Charreada as well as the very personalised service by Jorge and his two assistants. We enjoyed the tequila tasting, learning how to throw a lasso, and riding a caballo.

Our group loved the Charro tour. Jorge our teacher and guide was very talented and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our experience and loved the hands on roping. Jorge was a highlight, his singing was incredible. Would recommend his tour!!

Totally worth it. It was a truly heartfelt experience. We learned so much about the history of the charro and how important it is to Mexican culture.

Hector was an informative, helpful and personable tour guide. We had a great day!
