Blue Grotto, Capri

Set sail from the port at Marina Grande and enjoy a relaxing cruise around the rugged coast of Capri. See the highlights of the glamorous island as you pass the historic Punta Carena Lighthouse and the legendary Bagni di Tiberio (Baths of Tiberius) near a former villa of the Roman emperor. Pass the sea caves of the White Grotto and Green Grotto, named for the color of the water and the light effects of the sun. Admire the impressive sea stacks of the Faraglioni rocks and get lots of information about the island from your skipper along the way. Enter the famous Blue Grotto through a small entrance (if option selected) and continue to a large cave under the sea, where you will be amazed by the intense blue of the water caused by a natural phenomenon involving the sun.

In the morning you will either be picked up from your hotel in the Sorrento area, or will make your own way to the marina. Board your comfortable boat that accommodates up to 12 people and start cruising along the Sorrento coastline. Admire views of the Marciano Waterfall, before heading out to sea and towards the Island of Capri. If you select the early morning option including the Blue Grotto, you will arrive there right as it opens, avoiding the long queues. Board a small rowboat to marvel at the intense blue color of this unique sea cave, formed over thousands of years by erosion. Next, circumnavigate Capri to admire the dramatic coastal scenery of the island. See the White Grotto, the Green Grotto, the Faraglioni rocks, a natural arch, and the lighthouse of Punta Carena. Your guide will explain the wonders of Capri and its surroundings as you go. The boat will make stops to swim, snorkeling and admire the rich marine life of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Enjoy your choice of drinks on board. The boat will then drop you off on Capri, where you will have 4 hours to discover this beautiful island at your own pace. You could do some shopping and have a drink in the charming town, or take the chairlift to the top of Mount Solaro and hike back down. Meet back at the boat and start the return journey back to the port. En route, enjoy a tasting of Limoncello, the traditional Neapolitan liqueur. Your trip will end either at the marina, or with a drop-off at your hotel, depending on the option selected.

Explore the island at your own leisure and enjoy three hours of free time to visit the city center. Return to Sorrento around 3:30 PM. Prosecco, soft drinks, water, beer and fresh fruit included on board! Begin your day with convenient pickup from your hotel, followed by arrival at the marina where your trip starts. After checking in, the tour assistants will help you get to your boat. Once the group is ready the boat will leave towards Capri Island. As the boat glides along, discover rare views of the island, take photos of tucked-away grottos, and snap one-of-a-kind photos. Stop for a swim if the weather permits along the way. Take the chance to explore on your own, relax on the beach, and swim at Marina Piccola with 4 hours of free time to do as you please. Return to the boat to finish circling the island and then head back to the marina where your journey began. Once docked, tour assistants will be there to help you you back to your place of pickup.

Discover the island of Capri on a full-day trip from Naples with a local guide. Visit the Blue Grotto or take a shared boat ride around the island, depending on sea conditions on the day. Explore the town of Anacapri, and have free time for shopping. After meeting your guide, catch the fast ferry together to Capri. Sail to the island of Capri from Naples on a hydrofoil. Explore the colorful streets of Capri and see the Piazzetta and the Gardens of Augustus. Hear the history from your guide and enjoy some free time to explore the towns and have free time there. Be picked up from a selected meeting point in Naples and transferred to the port (if option selected). At the port, meet the professional guide who will accompany you on your visit to the enchanting island of Capri. The hydrofoil ride to Capri will take around 50 minutes. The first stop on your guided visit to the island is Marina Grande. Head up to Anacapri by minibus, a short and fun trip that affords marvelous views. Take a stroll in the famous Piazzetta, known as the lounge of the world, and the place to be seen for movie stars and VIPs since the times of la dolce vita in the 1950s and 60s. Your guide will tell you all about the island and its history and lead you to the Gardens of Augustus, and along the charming Via Camerelle, Via Tregare, and to the village center. After taking in the celebrated views of the Faraglioni, a sight cherished even by Roman emperors, you will have free time to explore and enjoy lunch at your leisure. At the end of the visit, the guide will accompany you back to Naples, where a driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel or meeting point.

Your tour starts from the port of Marina Piccola in Sorrento at 7:30 am. Your boat will depart at 8:00 AM. On the way to Capri, enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Sorrento coastline.
