From Lipari: Alicudi & Filicudi boat tour (8 hours) SMALL GROUP

We will depart from the Marina Corta pier in Lipari at 9:00 a.m., where we will meet our skipper. From there, we will set sail for Alicudi, the westernmost island of the Aeolian Islands, famous for its unspoiled landscapes and tranquil atmosphere. During the trip, we will stop for a first swim in the crystal clear waters surrounding the island. Once in Alicudi, we will have the opportunity to explore the island from a unique perspective: its rugged coastline and traditional stone houses that seem to defy time. Here we will stop for a break to take a walk or simply enjoy the breathtaking view. We will continue our tour to Filicudi, the neighboring island, where we will arrive in about 45 minutes. In Filicudi, we will have the opportunity to make a second stop for a swim in the turquoise waters, perhaps near the famous Grotta del Bue Marino, where you can snorkel and admire the marine life. After exploring Filicudi and its beautiful bays, such as Baia di Porto, we will have a break on land for about 1.5 hours. Here, we can have lunch in a typical island restaurant or relax on the beach. In the afternoon, we will continue sailing to admire the breathtaking views of the cliffs and small islets surrounding Filicudi. We will end the tour with a final stop for a refreshing swim, enjoying an extraordinary view of the coast. On the way back, there will be time for a toast with a glass of Malvasia wine, accompanied by typical Aeolian sweets. We will return to the Marina Corta pier in Lipari at 5:30 p.m., after about 8 and a half hours of excitement and natural beauty.

Filicudi and Alicudi boat tour from Lipari

Filicudi and Alicudi boat tour from Lipari

Filicudi has the clearest sea in the archipelago and also offers a rugged coastline full of caves and rock formations. Alicudi, on the other hand, looks like a huge cone with the characteristic little houses attached all around the walls. You'll leave Lipari to sail off the promontory of Capo Graziano, on the island of Filicudi . Here you will notice that the sea of these two remote islands is definitely the most pristine and crystal clear of the whole archipelago. Continuing the navigation you will reach the famous Grotta del Bue Marino, the largest and most beautiful cave of the Aeolian Islands. Leaving Filicudi you will sail to the small port of Alicudi to visit freely the small village, where you can take a bath and find a typical restaurant for lunch. The main street of Alicudi is a stone mule track that climbs to the top of the island and the only means of transport is the donkey. Going up the mule track will give you the opportunity to admire a breathtaking view and feel the sensation of being alone, on a dot far from the world and time, immersed in the truest Mediterranean.

Very nice excursion. You can't visit the islands properly, but given the time available it would be impossible. Must do.
