We start the tour from your hotel and head towards the Sumidero Canyon, where we will take a 2-hour boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon to the Grijalva River dock, where you can observe the local flora and fauna. As we progress through the tour, we will stop at a 16th-century fountain designed in the Mudejar style as we approach the historic city of Chiapa de Corzo, founded by Captain Diego de Mazariegos in 1528. We take advantage of the opportunity to continue our tour and visit 3 of the 5 viewpoints that make up the Sumidero Canyon to end the tour. You will return to your hotel at approximately 6:00 pm.

After breakfast leaving from your lodging in San Cristóbal de las Casas, we depart for the majestic Sumidero Canyon. We will take a boat for a 2-hour journey on the Grijalva River, where you will witness limestone walls reaching up to 1,000 meters, waterfalls feeding the river, and unique natural formations such as "The Christmas Tree," "The Cave of the Virgin," and the "Symbol of Chiapas." Following our tour of the Sumidero Canyon, we will visit the magical town of Chiapa de Corzo, founded in 1528 by Captain Diego de Mazariegos. Here, you can admire "La Fuente Colonial" with its authentic Mudejar design, and enjoy the exquisite Chiapanecan cuisine. Stroll through the town center to discover beautiful embroidery seen in the colorful regional costumes of Chiapaneca and Parachico, as well as crafts and brilliant lacquer pieces. Our visit to Chiapa de Corzo concludes with a 1-hour journey along the Tuxtla - San Cristóbal highway, ascending to 2,300 meters above sea level, and arriving at the most magical town in Mexico, San Cristóbal de las Casas. It is important to know that the viewpoints are closed every Tuesday, in case you choose that day for your tour.

As the day comes to a close, return to San Cristóbal de las Casas around 5 pm, where you can either enjoy the vibrant nightlife or relax and unwind after a day of exploration.

Explore Sumidero Canyon where you will enjoy a motorboat cruise through the middle of this spectacular canyon, the road descends more than 1500 meters and reaches the Grijalva River. In this national park, it is very often possible to see local wildlife such as crocodiles, spider monkeys, and white and gray herons. Walk around Chiapa de Corzo, distinguished by its exquisite gastronomy, highlighting: the baked cochito, the typical sweets, and its traditional drink called "Pozol"; all of them with very peculiar flavors that will delight you. In its rich craftsmanship, the lacquer, wood carving, and embroidery that can be seen in the colors of the regional costumes of Chiapas and Parachico. Departure to Boca del Río. DAY 04 Costa Esmeralda, takes us to TAJIN: Plaza del Arroyo, Central Zone, La Gran Xicalcoliuhqui, El Tajin Chico and the Conjunto de las Columnas. We continue to the Special Reserve of the Biosphere of Los Tuxtlas. Catemaco, we visit the Ecological Reserve of Nanciyaga. Boat ride to Catemaco Lagoon. Free time at leisure. Overnight. DAY 06 Towards Chiapas. Arrival at the PARQUE ECOTURISTICO CAÑON del SUMIDERO. Free time. On board of boats, we go up the Grijalva river through the CAÑON del SUMIDERO. Free time in CHIAPA de CORZO. Continuation to SAN CRISTOBAL de las CASAS. Lodging. DAY 07 In SAN CRISTOBAL we walk its indigenous market, the temple of Santo Domingo and the Amber Museum. SAN JUAN CHAMULA (place of bats) and ZINACANTAN (thick water). Free afternoon. Overnight. DAY 08 Arriving at the Yaxhá river (blue water) the WATERFALLS of AGUA AZUL. Visit to MISOL-HA (possibility of bathing). A night full of peace in PALENQUE. Overnight in PALENQUE. DAY 09 CULTURAL VISIT to the archaeological site of PALENQUE: Temple of the Inscriptions, the Palace, Temples of the Sun and the Foliated Cross, Bath of the Queen in the Otulum stream... Free time. Departure to CAMPECHE. PANORAMIC VISIT and free time. Lodging.
