Good deal in a structured environment for beginner level snorklers

Semi submersible was good to see many thing that would be hard to see just snorkeling (eg stingray, turtles, large shelves of coral). Food was just plain not appetizing. But you get what you pay for. If you snorkel in the beginner area near the ship, the coral looks bleached and the formations and fish are very deep so it’s harder to appreciate their bright colors. If you can venture out a few meters past the beginner area, the reef is shallower and there are more schools of fish and sea life. Staff were mostly professional and helpful except for one, Maki. I hard difficulty with my swim gear and asked Maki if she had any tips and she snapped at me saying “go find someone else to ask.” Then she turned around and walked away. I don’t expect that type of customer service is tolerated by Quicksilver so I would hope that they have discussions addressing her issues.

Well organised, amazing trip, friendly staff, overall great day

A really well organised trip, with friendly welcoming staff. A great day out, visiting some good reef sites. We were exceptionally lucky and when snorkelling on our second site not only did we see a cloud fish and reef shark but a dwarf minke whale joined us. We got to hold onto a line and the whale stayed with us and the boat for a whole hour swimming under us. The whale was incredibly inquisitive an it was a once in a lifetime experience. The staff were thrilled too. At the third site we swam with a turtle and on the way home we saw humpback whales and they came close to the boat to swim with us. An amazing day all round, I can't say enough how friendly and pleasant the staff were, we felt incredibly welcome and safe.

First time snorkelling! Amazing experience.

Was a great day out! My boyfriend and I loved the snorkelling and had a fun time out in the water and just walking along the beach. Crew were excellent as well! Plenty of food and we got a nice serenade from one of the crew members for the journey back to the marina. Would definitely recommend.

Very well organised day, great service & food. Wonderful snorkeling.

An experience not to be missed and very impressed with the staff, they were very friendly, funny, knowledgeable and helpful. They really made this part of our holiday a highlight. Also happy that the Quicksilver team are helping to reproduce the coral reef.....thank you so much. NZ Kiwi's.

We had a nice day out but I noticed most the degradation of the reef

I have visited this very place 1989 and I have still pictures in my head from snorkeling around the waters that look like the images on your posters. Unfortunately it is difficult to denie how much the reef and marine live has changed.
