Grand-Place: Tours & Tickets
What people are saying about Grand-Place
Jamal was an absolute pleasure! He is uber-smart, very knowledgeable, and very personable. Jamal was everything mentioned in the other posts. During our tour, there was a lovely family from Australia, two Americans, and myself (American). Jamal got all of us talking and having fun. He interjected humor into the history lessons wherever he could. He also took the time to entertain us for a very nice lunch in Brugge. After the tour, Jamal was even nice enough to take me to grab a quick bite to eat at one of his favorite local eateries. As I don't eat meat, he personally communicated to the chef to make me the best vegetarian meal they could. This really meant a lot to me. I look forward to a future tour with Jamal.
Our guide, Vita, was wonderful! It was a lovely tour and we enjoyed not only our guide but the other guests on the tour. Just a fun day of seeing beautiful Belgium cities, hearing history of the area, sipping hot chocolate and tasting fabulous chocolate! Lunch in Bruges at Blossom was yummy and the Flemish Stew tasted especially good on a chilly day. Blossom also had the best Chardonnay! Delightful! All in all just a relaxing, fun, day in Belgium. Made better by having everything handled for you by your tour guide, Vita.
Jamal, our tour guide was very helpful. He based his tour on the architecture and history of Bruges and Ghent which made the tour extra fun and fascinating. He was very interactive with the group; thus, it was less talking at us but talking with us. We went to chocolate tasting and shopped around while taking in the beautiful scenery of the churches and main squares. It was a very personable tour and I learned a lot. I have been on many tours and I can say this by far has been the best! Highly recommend.
My trip was in english, Brugges was a very small trip since we had to go to Gent.. both cities are very nice. The guide explained about the architecture and took very beautiful pics w his cellphone. He sent them after all. The weather was very windy so mainly to Brugges end january i would recommend u wear some extra “layers”. Well, was a nice day :)
It was wonderful and very informative. The guide was passionate, tring to give us all the interessent stroies behind the buildings without any waste of time. The explanation was also not about “just listening and nodding”, but was very interactive and even funny with small jokes:) Personally, I think this guide tour is better than Horta museum!
