Full description
Experience Italian Opera in one of the most important Venetian-Gothic style palaces in Venice, Palazzo Barbarigo-Minotto. Within this historical venue, an innovative approach to opera has been conceived, with a formula that focuses on the interaction between the singers, the musicians, and the audience. This gives spectators the feeling of living Opera ‘from the inside’. This sensation is amplified by the clever 360-degree use of the ‘stage’ and by having the guests move through 3 different rooms within the Palazzo, one for each act of the show. The whole setting changes, not just the background. Reviving a tradition dating back to the late 1800s, this reimagining is brought to life by some of the finest lyrical voices, accompanied by a talented small group of strings and a piano: a virtuoso ensemble who performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world.

OMG. It was beyond spectacular. It was set in one of the palazzos on the Grand Canal. Each of the three acts took place in a different spectacular room. So intimate. Violin, cello and piano. The singers were so close that, at one point in act 3, Violetta held my wife’s hand! It was extraordinarily good.

The overall experience was enjoyable. Just be aware to arrive early as the seats are place in the same level as the performance and if you seat at the back probably don’t have a decent view of what’s going on. Singers were amazing and the set, atmosphere was very exciting. The glass of wine, was hardly a sip, but nice touch. Last advice is to check the address and how to get there beforehand as knowing the maze Venice is, you can get lost and it’s a bit tricky to find.

Absolutely STUNNING. A beautiful immersive experience with incredibly skilled performers steps away. Just a warning, if you are late they will not let you into the performance until after the first act, this happened to me and while it was sad, I still got to sit and listen until I was let in. Even then, a 10/10 experience.
