Next, proceed to the Aventure du Sucre, home to a sugar factory that has been converted into a museum. Learn about the history of sugar production and the other products made from sugar cane, such as electricity, fertilizer, and rum. Taste some locally produced rum if you like.

Afterward, travel to the capital, Port Louis, to visit the Caudan Waterfront, which is a shopping and leisure hub located on the waterfront. Go shopping for souvenirs at the craft market. Then, visit the central market to check out the display of textiles, spices, and fruits on sale.
