Discover the unforgettable Muslim palatial city of Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which once was home to the sultans of the Nasrid Dynasty. Learn more about its rich history and elaborate, Moorish architecture from a professional guide as you walk around the uniquely well-preserved medieval citadel and explore both the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife gardens.  Inside the palatine city and once the explanations have been received, enjoy the artistic beauty of the Patio de los Leones. Known for its iconic Muslim blue and yellow tile decoration, the courtyard is a stunning example of the splendor of Islamic architecture and engineering. Next, visit the Palace of Mexuar, the oldest palace in the complex and the Palace of Comares, which was the official residence of the Sultan as well as the location of the throne room. Finally, head to the Palace of Lions, which is considered the peak of Nazari art. Finish your tour at the sultan’s summer palace to the east of Alhambra. The Generalife is framed by breathtaking scenery and surrounded by a plethora of vegetation and green open space.

Once the Alhambra informs us what time we have the palaces, you will receive an email or message via WhatsApp with the time of the tour. Therefore, we recommend that you do not book this tour if you have a trip planned on the same day or if you have another activity planned for the same day, as access can be in the morning or afternoon, depending on capacity.

Our guide, Jolanda, was excellent! We learned much more with her than we could have understood on our own. Alhambra is so big and there's so much to see that it was 100% worth it to have a guide! Jolansa was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and professional.

Beim Eingangspavillon der Alhambra nicht in Panik verfallen, wenn man den Guide nicht direkt findet. Am besten alle mit einem Guide-Batch ansprechen und die gebuchte Sprache erwähnen, dann findet man den richtigen. Carlos hat uns (in Französisch wie gebucht) drei Stunden genau das gezeigt, was gebucht war. Alcazaba dann noch auf eigene Faust. Beim Zuhören bei anderen Gruppen (deutsch/englisch) hatten wir den Eindruck dass alle sehr professionell den richtigen Mix zwischen Informationen, Hintergrund und Spass vermitteln

I got much more out of my visit to the Alhambra than I would have without this tour. Victoria, our guide, was knowledgeable and friendly; she kept us entertained with relevant information throughout the 3+ hours we spent together. One note of caution: you won't be able to choose the pace of your visit, obviously. I would have loved to spend more time in the Nasrid Palaces. Overall, I had a great time, and would definitely recommend this tour.
