Discover the unforgettable Muslim palatial city of Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which once was home to the sultans of the Nasrid Dynasty. Learn more about its rich history and elaborate, Moorish architecture from a professional guide as you walk around the uniquely well-preserved medieval citadel and explore both the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife gardens.  Inside the palatine city and once the explanations have been received, enjoy the artistic beauty of the Patio de los Leones. Known for its iconic Muslim blue and yellow tile decoration, the courtyard is a stunning example of the splendor of Islamic architecture and engineering. Next, visit the Palace of Mexuar, the oldest palace in the complex and the Palace of Comares, which was the official residence of the Sultan as well as the location of the throne room. Finally, head to the Palace of Lions, which is considered the peak of Nazari art. Finish your tour at the sultan’s summer palace to the east of Alhambra. The Generalife is framed by breathtaking scenery and surrounded by a plethora of vegetation and green open space.

Meet your guide at the guide meeting point, in the ticket office plaza. It is marked. The meeting point is in the square of the monument's ticket offices. In the square there is a small sign with a blue dot indicating "guides"

Once the Alhambra informs us what time we have the palaces, you will receive an email or message via WhatsApp with the time of the tour. Therefore, we recommend that you do not book this tour if you have a trip planned on the same day or if you have another activity planned for the same day, as access can be in the morning or afternoon, depending on capacity.
  • When booking, please provide the full name, date of birth and ID details for each participant. This information is required in advance for permission to enter the Alhambra. Please note, in order to access to the monument, you must provide the original ID or passport you made the reservation with
