Full description

Discover some of the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding Granada, and enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the old city from secret viewpoints. On the tour, drive along trails that date back over a thousand years, from the time of the Visigoths and the Arabs. Following pickup from Granada city center, travel by 4WD vehicle towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. We will get an elevation of 2500 meters-8000 ft, with amazing views of the highest peaks in the Iberian peninsula. Explore the north face of the Sierra Nevada to see the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula, climbing to heights of more than 3,000 meters. Marvel at the amazing landscape, before driving to Sierra de Huétor Natural Park. The mountains here are lower and were used by the Moors to draw spring water for the Albaicín, now part of Granada. See some old fortifications from the days of the Spanish Civil War, and enjoy incredible views of Granada and the Sierra Nevada. Finally, visit a typical Andalusian restaurant where you can enjoy drinks, snacks, or a meal (costs not included).

The best day we have had in Spain by far! The weather was perfect which made for the best possible views. We decided the morning before to book the tour and if you are considering it I would say absolutely book it. Jamie was able to answer every question we had. 10/10 would do it again in a heartbeat.

One of our favorite activities from our trip!! Jamie was a fabulous guide who stayed in touch with us before our trip to make sure we knew where we were going! The trip was very laid back, we did some very light walking just to get better views outside of the 8 seater Mercedes 4x4. The ride was very comfortable! Incredibly breathtaking views and lots of opportunities for photos! A stop for lunch was delicious and we enjoyed getting to know our group. Would definitely do this again!!! If you’re considering this activity, DO IT!

Be prepared to spend the day out and about, no bathrooms for a good while. Also be prepared to be hungry. Take some snacks, options were limited. Jaime was a great guide, he knew a lot about the area, from the types of plants to back roads and even the people who live up there. It was authentic to experience the Sierra Nevada mountains in the same way a local would.
