From Tulum: Four-Cenote Adventure

1. From Tulum: Four-Cenote Adventure

Set out from Tulum on a short trek that will bring you to four of the area's most beautiful cenotes. See part of the network of natural freshwater pools the area is known for and learn about their significance to Mayan culture. Arrive first at Naval Cenote after a short walk through the jungle. Ride a zip line and jump off into the water below. Cool off in the clear, fresh water before trekking on to the Pirañas Cenote for more swimming. Then head to Large Cenote Naval where you can try out two incredible long zip lines. Take the second line down to a platform where you can board a canoe to journey in the direction of the final stop: Cenote Azul.  Hop off the boat and make a brief walk through the jungle to Cenote Azul where you can snorkel and marvel at the incredible underwater scenery. Having worked up an appetite from all the swimming, snorkeling, and adventuring, it's time to visit a Mayan village for a bite to eat.  Enjoy a typical Mayan lunch of Chicken Pibil, Poc Chuc, salad, rice, beans, guacamole, handmade tortillas, and different flavored natural waters (Jamaica, Orange, and more), along with fruits for dessert.

Cancun: Private Underwater Cenote Photo Shoot Experience

2. Cancun: Private Underwater Cenote Photo Shoot Experience

Get picked up or head to the meeting point in Cancun and prepare for a special private experience you're sure to remember. Learn some breathing techniques at the cenote and then start posing for underwater shots, as directed by your professional photographer. Receive the collection of amazing photos a week later. Before you begin the photo shoot experience, listen to a briefing and learn some breathing techniques to help you hold your breath longer underwater as well as some tips and tricks to help you relax in the water. Not a confident swimmer? Don’t worry, there are many areas you can hold on to or stand on. Your photographer will be a professional diving instructor who will help guide you through poses as he takes amazing photos of you in the water. This is great for individuals and couples who are looking for unique, Instagram-worthy mementos. Besides getting amazing photos, this unique experience will allow you to connect with nature in a magical cenote. Cenotes were highly sacred to the Mayan people as they were believed to be the gateway to the underworld. There will be a quick break in between the photoshoot where you can rest a little bit before diving back into the water to add more photos to your camera roll. Return to the meeting point or to your hotel.

It was truly magical. Our guide, Niko, was very friendly and knowledgeable as he guided us through the cenotes. At each one, he gave us more information and even small landscapes/features to view, then let us explore a bit on our own. I'll never forget this experience.

Our Cenote tour was great! The guide Alejo was very funny, friendly and helpful. He showed us all the beauty of these three places, more than the time provided. The lunch was very good also! We had a great time and can recommend to try this experience.

Wonderful morning between cenote, zip line and canoe... Exciting lunch in the Mayan community!... Grateful to have lived this experience... And a special thanks to our guide José for the information, photos and our first chewing gum hand made!!

An amazing day!! Went to three beautiful cenotes, including a private cave cenote. The lunch afterwards was delicious! Angel our host was so great, as was the driver Gualberto.

T’was the best part of my Tulum vacation! The cenotes are beautiful esp. the Cenote Santa Cruz in Akumal, amazing!!!
