Full description
The tour begins with pickup from either Gramado or Canela, and travels just over two hours to the Aparados da Serra National Park. Upon arrival at the park, feel immersed in the vast natural landscape that surrounds you, with breathtaking views in every direction.

The focus of the tour is the fascinating Itaimbezinho Canyon, which is the largest in Latin America and dates back at least 130 million years. The canyon has been the backdrop for a number of movies and TV series, and is home to an array of vibrant flora and fauna which line its yellow and red walls.

There are two hike trails to follow on the tour. The Vértice Trail, an hour long hike which starts at the Visitors Center and ends at the edge of the canyon at the Andorinhas Waterfall. And The Cotovelo Trail, a lighter walk which leads to a lookout point across the canyon. Both hikes provide stunning, breathtaking views across the Aparados da Serra National Park and the chance to learn about the landscapes and how they are preserved. As you walk there are plenty of stops to admire the views, as well as for introspection and reflection on the magnitude of nature.
