Next we visit the site where the official city of Bangalore was established in 1537 by Kempe Gowda. Day 4 Drive 95 kilometers to Pondicherry from Mahabalipuram. Arrive early and explore Auroville matrimandir, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, French Quarter of Pondicherry, and Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Day 5 Travel 68 kilometres from Pondicherry to Chidambaram in the morning. Visit the Nataraja Temple, dedicated to Shiva as the Cosmic Dancer.
