Full description

From Glasgow, travel north towards the Scottish highlands. Our first stop is for a cup of tea or coffee at a café on the shores of Loch Lomond. We then climb up into the Highlands over the unique, desolate landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to Glencoe, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan. After lunch in the Fort William area, we continue beneath Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis and into the Great Glen. At Loch Ness, take a 1-hour cruise on the loch or enjoy the beautiful views at its shores.

Begin your return journey from Inverness, Capital of the Highlands. Before arriving back in Glasgow, we will cross the Grampian Mountains and the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl.

It is a good experience if you have only 1 day for the Highlands. The bus was really clean and the driver was experienced, kind and funny. It was a lovely trip even if the Urquhart castel was closed. Keep in mind, if you don't want to go to the cruise, there is nothing to do next to the Loch Ness except a restaurant and a gift shop.

Our tour guide Calum was friendly and accommodating. He was able to explain all the sights. He also cracked jokes to make the tour lively. The bus was cleaned, protocols for COVID 19 was implemented and was followed by everyone. The atmosphere inside the bus was serene due to Scottish songs played. I strongly recommend to have this tour with you guys! Two thumbs up!!!

Be prepared to be in the minivan all day! With that being said I totally enjoyed it- was a welcome break from all the walking/exploring the days before! The tour definitely gave me so many insiders where I would like to visit next. It was my first time visiting the highlands and I definitely have a good understanding now where to go and how to travel around etc. Views are breathtaking and we were actually very lucky with the weather the day! Our local guide was amazing and also only told us about the milage we covered by the end of the trip to not scare us in advance. Also he thought us some Scottish words and was quite easy to understand. I didn't book the boat tour at Loch Ness so I just wandered along the stoney beach path which was also really nice. Overall it would have been nice to be able to stay longer in some small places but time wise it is not really possible to squeeze in more in one day.
