Full description
Leaving Glasgow, travel to Tarbet on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Here, take in the beautiful loch views. Following the full length of Loch Lomond, continue on to Rannoch Moor. Passing Buachaille Etive Mor which featured in James Bond’s Skyfall, continue through the famous Glencoe Valley with its spectacular views.
At Fort William, join the romantic ‘Road to the Isles’ to Mallaig. Pass Loch Eilt which you may recognize as the location in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" where Hagrid skimmed stones. Dumbledore’s final resting place was also shot at Eilean na Moine nearby. It is then time to dip your toes in the sand during a photo stop at the Silver Sands of Morar.
Take a 90-minute lunch stop at Mallaig (not included), where you can try local fish and chips. Then, continue to Glenfinnan and enjoy 1 hour to explore at your own pace. Take in the unmissable views with the majestic Glenfinnan Viaduct on one side and the famous Glenfinnan monument to the Jacobites on the other. From April 26 to October 1 the Jacobite Steam Train, also known as the "Hogwarts Express", will be passing over the viaduct. Your tour is scheduled for you to be there to view it.
Make your last stop at the Drovers Inn. Enjoy an evening refreshment by the roaring log fire that was once enjoyed by the famous Rob Roy MacGregor.
