Full description

Enjoy a day tour exploring the Port of Mallaig, Glencoe, Loch Lomond, and reach Glenfinnan Viaduct right on time to see the Jacobite Steam Train (also known as the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express) crossing the tall bridge. Depart Glasgow and travel north, stopping for a coffee and refreshments at a small highland village. Traveling onwards, reach Glencoe, known to many as the location for the Massacre of the MacDonald clan in 1692. Take photos of this beautiful area whilst you learn about its turbulent past. After Glencoe, travel further north to Fort William. Stop for refreshments and perhaps a bite to eat before journeying down the Road to the Isles. Learn about the history of the area as you approach Mallaig, where you will spend time enjoying lunch and its sea views. From Mallaig, travel eastwards to the main attraction, Glenfinnan. Arrive to see the Jacobite Steam Train (also known as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter Films) cross the bridge. Enjoy the iconic view, known as the setting for many Harry Potter scenes, including Loch Shiel. From Glenfinnan, travel southwards, stopping for refreshments before reaching Luss for Loch Lomond. Spend time here to enjoy the beautiful lochside views before returning to Glasgow.

Great trip, timing was spot on for each stop. Driver kept us informed as we went along & even though the train was late back from Mallaig we were allowed extra time to get those all important photos at Glenfinnan. For me the tour was very good, toilet stops plentiful & the run home more direct & less stops. Makes sense really. Would highly recommend!

It was a great experience touring the highlands, with sufficient time at each stop for photo taking. The guide (I couldn't get his name) was very knowledgeable and communicates well too. There was a little surprise stop that he suggested and brought us to which made this trip even more worthwhile.

It was a high speed drive, but we made it home safely. It would be nice to know the detailed time schedule in advance. The main event, the Jacobite, was a return flight in the afternoon, which was disappointing. I'm sorry I didn't know this beforehand. In this flow, 7:30 meet Glasgow while taking a break every hour to Mallaig station 12:30 Wait for Jacobite's arrival at Mallaig station Lunch time 13:30 Depart Mallaig station 15:20 Wait for Jacobite at Glenfinnan Viaduct *Jacobite's The steam locomotive runs backwards →→ direction of travel 15:40 Departure from Glenfinnan Viaduct and return to Glasgow at 19:30 while taking a break. The ground, Hogwarts scenery in Glencoe and the location of Hagrid's hut have passed. Still, it's easier than driving by yourself, so if the above is not a problem, it's a good tour.
