What People Are Saying About Giverny
Kit was the ideal guide. An Artist, historian and true story telling. The whole package of bike riding, small village experience, picnic and Kit's narration and story telling approach was a highlight of our time in Europe. Do it!
You MUST take this tour! We took a train into Giverny with our tour guides. When we arrived, our (phenomenal) tour guide, Robin, walked us into a little shopping square with mom and pop shops and a farmer's market. She taught us a few key phrases and then asked us to go around to buy items for our picnic. After we purchased all our locally made and grown breads, cheeses, meats, and cider, we took a Bike ride to park where we had beautiful views of a pond and a small house built in the 1600s. After a delicious lunch we took a bike ride through a bike path to Monet's garden. The bike route was so beautiful and breathtaking. We got to see why Nonet was so inspired by this beautiful French countryside. Lastly, our tour guide Robin was fantastic. She was the most knowledgeable guide I ever had and was simply a delight to be around. Please take this tour! I would give it more stars if I could!
The visit to Giverny and Monets Gardens and house, was fabulous. The inspirational gardens were beautiful. Versailles Palace and Gardens were both breathtaking. We loved to history, the grand urge and the magnificence of both. The guides (Natty and Martine) were extreme,y informative and helpful. They made the trip even better than expected owing to their commentary. The lunch was a set menu (wine included) that was in a gorgeous Location. All up it was an excellent trip.
An excellent leisurely day in which we got to visit the morning market in Vernon to stock up for the picnic by the river en route to the magical gardens at Giverny. Our guide, Kit, was entertaining and extremely knowledgeable about art and history. The pace of the day was relaxed, the cycling easy and the company pleasant. Highly recommended.
My wife and I took this tour (Versailles-Giverny) on August 13th. We really enjoyed both Monet's gardens and Versailles. The driver/tour guide was friendly and funny and made the trip a joy. Versailles was very busy but it was peak tourist season but still worth seeing.
