Full description

Take an intriguing journey inside the new official filming location of Game of Thrones. Guided by an expert of the show, a medieval history accredited guide. This tour will take your knowledge of the series to another level.

You will start your journey at the famous Saint Marti's stairs in central Girona and continue admiring the Jewish Quarter's stunning architecture and narrow streets. Linking architecture with one of the most famous medieval fiction stories, this tour is a must-do activity for GOT fans. The tour will start on one of the most famous stairs of Girona, the stairs of the Church of Sant Martí s'Acosta in the Pujada de Sant Domenech.

Head deeper into the narrow and winding alleys of the Jewish quarter (Call Jueu), street of Claveria, Sant Llorenç street, Cúndaro street.

Then, pass the Cathedral of Santa Maria to reach Cartanyà Bisbe Street, in the neighborhood near the Casserna dels Alemanys (German Headquarters). Return to the cathedral to admire its baroque façade and see the large stairs that lead down to the square. From there, you'll head to Ferran, the Catholic street, to see the Arab baths. Visit the Plaza dels Jurats and make your way to the magnificent Romanesque monastery of Sant Pere de Galligans.

Finally, you'll see the Church of Sant Feliu's surroundings, with a grand staircase. These sites appear as locations in the fictional towns of Braavos and King's Landing.

Your guide will have an Ipad to show you the areas of Game of Thrones filmed in Girona city, and you can compare them with the real spots.

We had Ona as our travel guide and she was great ! She had enthusiasm with the tour and tying in not only video of screens but also still shots and then showed how CGI changed the overall image to alter backgrounds or real places. She also talked about how different areas were priced together to create the screens while showing actual area and how the real area was changed so that the eye wouldn’t catch the changes such as putting sand over man hole covers.

Nice combination between game of thrones scenes and history of the city. We also really liked hearing the legends. Sara was very friendly and also gave us many tips during the tour about the best places to eat, have a drink or which museums were really worth visiting. And she also kept budget in mind. Super!

Great visit with Eli. The medieval part of the city of Girona is really very beautiful and beautifully preserved. Our guide was able to adapt perfectly to our family, some of whose members had not seen the series, in order to interest everyone by also giving a lot of historical explanations. In short, a very good time in the company of our adorable guide. We had voluntarily chosen the visit in Spanish (to try to progress) and despite our "average" level we understood everything. Just one point to improve: it's a shame that the visit to the interior of the Cathedral is not included in the "Game of Thrones" visit (we went there after the visit so we saw it anyway), because the interior of the Cathedral is also superb and worth the detour. Thank you very much Eli!
