Planning Your Visit
Visit in Spring
The Girona weather is warm but not too hot yet, perfect for strolling along the coast. Easter is an incredible time to visit Costa Brava. Girona is filled with joyous religious festivals and parades. Of course, summer is best for Girona beaches.
Pay the full price at the first museum and then half off entry at all the others. Getting the GironaMuseus Card will be worth it if you plan to see more than one of the five major Girona museums.
Girona to Barcelona
There are a few options for getting between Girona and Barcelona. You could rent a car and drive north an hour and a half to Barcelona, or maybe your flight arrival will fall conveniently with a scheduled Barcelona Bus or the train. A taxi would cost 120€, which might not be so bad if you’re splitting the cost with a group.

What people are saying about Girona
Kurt was great! Very knowledgeable about Dali! He was there early for our pickup. He drove very safely throughout the trip. We always felt safe about COVID and cleanliness issues. The museum was very interesting filled in with Kurt’s excellent narrative. The drive down to Cadaquès was very nice and what a beautiful seaside town to have lunch in. There are many restaurants to choose from. Then on to Dali’s house. What an eclectic place. I would find it very relaxing with lots of creative energy flowing through the house to write, paint, or just create! The views were amazing!
We would recommend this tour to everyone! Our tour guide, Andre, was so knowledgeable and friendly! We've learned soooo much from him!!! The entire trip was so well organized. He picked us up at a hotel at the scheduled time and shared tons of information during the entire day. Andre was definitely a go to person for all questions about Dali and the rich history of Girona. The whole experience that day was priceless! If you decide to take this tour, you won't regret it!
Great and interesting tour thanks to highly proffesional, polite, and funny tour guide Vicente, and of course the beautiful scenery and museum that we visited. The van in which we were driven was really clean and nice, and the driver Joaquin drove with special care and professionalism. Also the other people on the tour were really nice and cool. All in all it was a really great experience, which me and my 2 kids abaolutely loved. 10/10 would recommend!
