We drove to Whittier ourselves, enjoying Salmon Sightings on a stream on the way and the long Tunnel, finding the Phillips Office as you described. Check-In was a breeze and the lady went out of her way to scan a detailed map for easy parking. The Cruise was outstanding with wildlife sightings as well as a perfect number of Glaciers. The Lunch was tasty as well! We got to see a Glacier Calving and a bunch of up-close Sea Lions on our way back to the Whittier dock. The price was reasonable and all 3 of us will recommend this Quest Cruise to friends visiting Alaska in the future.

We loved seeing the animals more in a natural habitat than a cage like the zoo. The bear in the pond was great. It was also amazing to encounter Chris Von Imhof at his book signing. I interacted with Chris 36 years ago when Chris visited the hotel in Hawaii that I worked at. My wife still can’t believe that the one day we picked to visit AWC the weather was sunny enabling Chris to do a book signing and I encounter someone I knew and haven’t seen for 36 years.
