The trip was nice, we had a professional guide that explained us a lot about Gibraltar on the way to the destination, historical facts, fun facts and practical information. In Gibraltar we took the rock tour and we were very pleased with it. We had a minibus, the driver was super nice, in the bus there were audio explanations about the points of interest we were passing by and we visited the Rock in about 2h-3h, with some stops to take photos of the lighthouse, to visit St Michael's cave and see the monkeys and some nice views. The tour doesn't take you to the top, where the cable car is, but for us it was ok because there were very beautiful views already where we stopped and the top of the rock was mostly covered in clouds anyways. Then we had some free time (about 2h30) to enjoy the city and have something to eat. Time flew and it was exactly what we needed for you trip to Gibraltar. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Trip was absolutely fantastic, we booked trip with rock nature reserve tour. Everything was easy to understand and we got to see all of the important places. Passport and customs control went very smoothly. After we got off the large bus we were seated in smaller buses and went to see Europa Point, St. Michael's Cave and Apes Den. We got to see monkeys and they were friendly. Between and after these sightseeing places, bus drove us by other significant places in the rock and town. There was audio guide in the bus. I would say that we would’ve liked to have little bit more time in the Michael's Cave and Apes Den, but other than that, trip was wonderful. After the rock nature reserve tour we had about 3 hours free time before returning to the bus to head back to Malaga. I would highly recommend this day trip, this was one of the highlights in our Malaga trip. Gibraltar was beautiful and the guides were professional and knowledgeable.

Full description

Your tour will begin as you meet your bus in the center of Málaga, near el Corte Inglés, or elsewhere along the Costa del Sol. From there you will take a coach to Gibraltar, traveling in air-conditioned comfort complete with reclining seats. Throughout the journey, your guide will provide you with information about interesting things to do and see once having arrived at Gibraltar. It's mandatory a valid and original ID / Passport to cross the border. Photocopies or carrying it on a mobile device will not be accepted. Once having passed through customs, your coach will drive inside Gibraltar before stopping in the city center to park for free time.

If you booked the full nature reserve rock tour option, enjoy a panoramic tour of Gibraltar, visiting places such as the Strait of Gibraltar, and access to the interior of the St. Michel Caves. You will also be able to see Barbary macaques at the Apes Den.

After the panoramic tour, enjoy free time for lunch and explore the area for its shopping and hotspots like Main Street, Casemates Square, Marina Bay, or the Mediterranean Steps. Your bus will return in the afternoon, leaving Gibraltar around 3:30 PM.

I wasn’t expecting the 6 hours in the bus as it took 3 hours in each direction from Malaga with the multiple stops. The day ended up being over twelve and half hours due to the long bus ride. Since it took twice the time to get there (versus driving directly) it seemed rushed while we there and a tremendous time on the bus. I definitely wasn’t expecting the multiple stops to pick up/drop off two people in a random location. The rock tour itself was great and the guide was great. The only disappointing part was that you don’t go to the top. There is not enough time between driving, the rock tour itself, and needing time to get lunch then to do the gondola to the top (which is separate). It was much different than I expected and I recommend doing your research to ensure you are going to be able to do what you want to do.
