The river trip was good. The positive side of it was the fact that you get to see the top of the river spots in 40mins (especially if you spend only a day in the city). A bit strange that we had to wait to listen to other 2 languages before English and the “jokes” had lost their meaning by the time we heard people laughing at them in 1 min earlier. I would suggest splitting the groups with up to 2 languages.

The experience was absolutely fantastic! It was an incredibly hot day so me and my partner decided to do a boat tour, seeing as I’ve recently moved here and wanted to learn more about the city. The tour guide was extremely friendly and interactive with the group, explaining the tour in Dutch, French and English. The only criticism I have (and it’s very small) is that on occasion he would mention something in Dutch and French, and wouldn’t translate it into English, so there was some small bits of information that I then had to translate for my partner. Overall this didn’t remove from the experience in anyway, but I felt it important to mention for others who may want to get all the information and not just the key points.

Une jolie balade sur les canaux de Gand, intéressante et légère. On se sent un petit peu dans un circuit à la chaine certes, mais l'humour et les traits d'esprit de notre guide nous ont fait oublier le côté un peu trop touristique du tour. Nous avons eu la chance de partir sur un bateau peu peuplé, nous ne pouvons pas dire la même chose de leurs concurrents. Je recommande, et conseille de prendre un peu de monnaie pour laisser un pourboire !
