The Sea Elements Mangrove Kayak Tour allows you to paddle deep into the mangrove forest and see the beauty under the mangrove canopy. There are short stretches of moderate paddling on this easy guided kayak tour. Wildlife encounters abound on each tour!
What to Expect
Discover something extraordinary and take a mangrove tour to learn about this important ecosystem and experience an interactive eco-tour on our Kayak trip.
On this tour you will discover orange sponges, sea squirts, and anemones that cover the mangrove roots. We always try to spot the secretive seahorses, which are even visible from the kayaks.
You will see green iguanas climbing among the mangrove roots, giving us a great view of these prehistoric looking creatures. Our guides will identify native birds as well, such as egrets, herons and warblers.
Kayaking has been called a ‘dry sport’, but we find that you can get wet and you never know if you will get soaked! Swim shorts or suit is usually best and quick drying fabrics are the preferred choice. Cotton fabrics usually stay wet. The water temperature varies from 78 deg in winter to 86 deg in the summer. We use the tandem Wilderness System T 130 Kayaks with back rests.
Our goal is to provide you with an interactive adventure on beautiful Grand Cayman.
- Kayaks, paddles
- PFD (lifejacket) and other safety equipment
