Make your way to the Aquarium of Genoa to see more than 15,000 animals from 400 species at Italy's largest aquatic zoo. Skip the line, and learn how the aquarium was built for the Genoa Expo '92. Now, it is home to the biggest display of aquatic biodiversity in Europe. Venture into the fascinating waters of the world as you explore more than 70 tanks of critters, including sea cows. Marvel at animals from the Antarctic, such as penguins, and see sharks, seals, jellyfish and the colorful fish of the coral barriers. Everything went very well and we were very happy with the visit to the Genoa Aquarium. The tour allows you to see all the tanks and have fun seeing the fish in their spectacular environments. It seems to be immersed with fins and diving mask in the most disparate and incredible seas of the world. Unique experience especially for children and exciting for us adults. Perfect!

Beware the 'open day ticket' it not what it seems.

Yes you can enter at any time you like during opening hours and skip the queues, BUT when you are in you cannot leave and re enter. This ticket; and all tickets; allow one entry only with NO re-admission allowed even on the same day. This is made clear on the premises, BUT this is not made clear on this web site. I will be seeking a refund on the basis of incorrect point of sales information.

Great experience however the place should be avoided at weekends

Avoid weekends as the experience is ruined by the screaming children who bang on the aquarium glass and take pictures with flash. The dolphin show at 14.15 was fantastic however the MC spent more time asking kids to leave room for the trainer to walk around. Overall great setup. The animals seemed quite happy and my favorite has to be the coral reef, I could spend hours there if it weren't for the high pitched distractions!
