Just wrapped up an incredible food tour through Genoa! Our guide, Mariah, was an outstanding ambassador of the city, sharing Genoa’s rich maritime heritage as we explored its vibrant streets. We kicked things off with a stop at Friggitoria San Giorgio for their specialty fried fish – something I don’t usually eat, but wow, it was worth it! Weaving through the historic "caruggi," we discovered one of Europe’s largest medieval centers. From the birthplace of Pesto alla Genovese to the most delicious focaccia and a to-die-for truffle pizza, every stop showcased the flavors that define Genoa. If you go, definitely splurge on the drink card – I’ve found my new favorite after-dinner drink! Couldn’t have asked for a better day exploring this beautiful, food-filled city.
