In the morning, explore the stunning alpine scenery of Chamonix, in the French Alps. After your return to Geneva, ride a mini van and take a trip to the past and appreciate the beauty of Yvoire, a city frozen by time. Built in 1036, Yvoire's castle is the target of all photography-lovers of Yvoire. The military dungeon built in the 14th century was used to control the road that linked Geneva to the high valley of the Rhône, and to Italy. Spend some free time and enjoy the atmosphere of this unique place. Regarded as one of the most beautiful villages of France, medieval Yvoire is situated right beside the Leman Lake. Sample one of the local specialties - a fish dish called filet de perche - in front of the magnificent Lake. More than 700 years old, the village has miraculously preserved with invaluable testimonies of the past: the castle, ramparts, doors, and a ditch. For the return trip to Geneva, you'll cross the lake aboard the paddle steamer Belle Epoque.
