From Geneva: Day Trip to Chamonix with Cable Car and Train

The tour guide was fantastic and his knowledge of the area was also fantastic as he grew up in Chamonix. The gondolas up to Aiguille du Midi and the views from up there are absolutely mind blowing. Then later on the train to Montenvers and Mer de Glacé was great. The glacier and the ice cave was another mind blowing experience. The whole day end to end was great.

This day trip was amazing. The meeting point was easy to find, the staff were helpful and divided us into the 3 coaches, then the journey to Chamonix was nice and scenic. Mont Blanc was quite busy, so our guide told us to go straight to the queue for the glass box once we got to the top. the queue was about 1 hr long, but if you want to have your photo in the glass box (with Mont Blanc peak behind you), then you have to just put up with the queue. luckily the scenery whilst in the queue is amazing! Bring a jumper/jacket for the top, it was very cold, even though the temperature on the ground was 30 degrees! cable car a bit scary but guide warned us about the bumps! then I had just enough time to zoom round the terraces before meeting guide again! mountain train lovely, ice cave beautiful (wear jumper!) then I had just enough time to zoom round Chamonix before we went home! It's an expensive trip but worth every penny. Scenery is just incredible 😲 ❤️
