6. From Baku: Gabala Day Trip

Get picked up from your Baku hotel and drive towards Gabala. On the way, stop in Shemakha for a break and grab a bite to eat or a tea. Arrive in Gabala and head to Lake Nohur, a pristine lake surrounded by high mountains. Take in views of the tranquil setting and let the noise of the city melt away. Although swimming in the lake is prohibited (the lake is also used as a reservoir and provides drinking water for Gabala and surrounding regions), it is a perfect place for fishing. You can also hop on a boat and explore the lake at your leisure.  Then head to a nearby waterfall called Seven Beauties. A seven-tiered waterfall with multiple cascades, Seven Beauties is a must-see destination in the area. Because the trek up the steep slope alongside the waterfall is quite dangerous, it will be possible to see only two of the cascades. Sit and rest in a seasonal restaurant and teahouse where little sunlight penetrates and enjoy the cool shade as you listen to the rushing water of the falls.   Continue on to visit the Tufandag Winter Resort and ride the longest cable car in the world. Go skiing or take in unforgettable summer views of the Alpine landscapes beyond Gabala. Then visit the Gabala Sport Club, a world-class facility that trains professional athletes in shooting, boxing, karate, taekwondo, soccer, and judo. Try your hand at shooting onsite in the place where the national Olympic team trains.  Head back to Baku after an active day in and around Gabala.

We booked this tour from heritage travels Baku via getyourguide. We had HUSSAIN our guide and an amazing driver too. We booked group tour but we were only 4 tourists in total so we were taken in a very comfortable car. the journey was amazing. We stopped for strawberry as well as taking pictures and great viewpoints. the music in the car was a mix of Azerbaijani, English , Hindi Bollywood and Arabic. husein was very interactive and gave us lot of information about Azerbaijan. the driver was very nice and helpful and entertaining too. in gabala we didn't find any snow but the view was great and we shopped for nuts sweets and honey. the nohur lake was beautiful. seven beauty waterfall was not worth the tiring stairs climb. the name of our driver was OR KHAN. Totally recommended

super trip.. worth trip.. super guide. only thing is the bus guy switch off the ac now and then to save petrol and very arrogant when asked to switch on.. if was suffocating inside.. rest all ok..the guide was friendly and informative.. picked from the hotel and did all things to make us comfortable.

We were picked up from our hotel on time. We were pleased with this close and friendly relationship. Ali and his managers helped us in any way they could. Everything was fine.

I enjoyed the tour for visiting wonderful and beautiful mosque, lake and fall very much. Thank you for the great guide and driver as well!

It was a long way there but it is worth it. Thanks Sabuhi for taking care of us
