Gdansk: City Cruise on Historical Polish Boat

Gdansk: City Cruise on Historical Polish Boat

Discover Gdańsk from the water on board a replica of a Polish river ship used for over 400 years. Used mainly in the 18th century, this intimate, wooden, and spacious 12-seater boat will take you to places large ships are unable to go and thanks to the low number of passengers, you'll feel at ease and special. Start the cruise from the former Gdańsk Shipyard that once was a workplace for nearly 18,000 people and unavailable to visitors for over 170 years. Next, cruise on Motława River in the center of the Old Town. You’ll see many tourist attractions, including the ruins of the Teutonic castle, water gates leading to the city, the famous wooden crane from the 15th century, charming old tenement houses, and their new setting. Follow a route that will also show you monuments and new buildings of Ołowianka and the Granary Island. This trip is also a unique and only opportunity to see up close specialist vessels, Gdansk port cranes that are the symbol of the city, and the internal quay of the Port of Gdansk.

The restaurant is located about 10 minutes by bus from the center, and then about 5 minutes on foot along a little-used country road. We tried the activity in a room adjacent to the main one frequented by customers. The situation was therefore much quieter than the other very busy room that you see as soon as you enter. After a detailed explanation and wearing protective glasses and ear muffs we started. 5 shots with a pistol, 3 with the machine gun, 3 with a shotgun and one with another heavy weapon. More than expected! Very thoughtful guides, they helped me step by step, helping me to hold even the heaviest weapons. At the end of the experience they leave you the sheets with the targets where you shot yourself! Truly liberating. Highly recommended!

It was well worth the money! If you are in doubt whether you should do it, do it. It was a fun and exciting experience that I will not forget. Unfortunately, our booking had disappeared in the system, so our instructor was not there when we arrived. However, he came quickly (30 min) and apologized many times and we got an extra 5 shots as compensation. Super nice solution. The instructor was really skilled and aware of whether everyone was on board with what was going on and safe when shooting. He was really pleasant and aware that it was the first time for many and therefore helped as needed.

I really liked our guide , Kuba I think his name was ! Very relaxed but very informative about the city, was just the 2 of us to start with so felt like a personal tour !

very professional and safety comes first. everything was explained to us. definitely something everyone should try
