Full description

During your tour of Gdansk, you will get to hear of the facts, legends, opinions, and consequences of World War II for Gdansk, Poland, Europe, and the rest of the world. You will visit the most important places connected with Gdansk history during the war, and your guide will tell you the stories about brave heroes, victims, and crime. The purpose of this trip is to help you forge your own opinion on the course of the war and its consequences, based on new information. You will visit the Polish Post Office Museum, which was a symbol of the Polish heroic resistance in 1939, at the beginning of World War II. The museum aims to educate you about the patriotic activity of Poles in war-torn Gdansk, as well as the cultural achievements of the "Free City" citizens. Select the extended option, and you’ll also visit the World War II Museum, the newest and most visited museum in the city. Journey 15 meters underground to the museum’s permanent exhibition. At almost 5,000 square meters, the museum is the largest historical museum in Poland. This museum is one of the best we have ever visited. We booked a private tour, which we recommend for anyone wanting the best experience. The museum is very large and so many things to see and learn about. Our guide Elvira was very good, knowledgeable and informative and made the experience even better. She could answer all of our questions and gave us very good insight of the history.

Christopher was a wonderful guide. He was very informative, patient with all of our questions and knowledgeable. He met us on time....only glitch was he was at the front door of the hotel, we were on a bench outside the front door. Perhaps the guide could have a lanyard or something to help us find him. Maybe we should have had a flower in our lapel or something!! :). Christopher even called a taxi for us and waited to make sure the driver knew exactly where to drop us off. All in all, well worth the cost and the time spent.

My guide Elwira was very knowledgeable. She took time to explain the museum and its parts. I really enjoyed my experience. The only comment that I had was the cost of it was way to much at over 500zł. It cost as much as my whole weekend in Gdańsk . I thought I was paying 1/2 of that.
