What People Are Saying About Gaudi House Museum
The sun came out which made the experience even better! Despite the crowds, it was very calm and easy-going!
Work of art of Antonio Gaudi - buildings, bench and resting area underneath, garden and splendid idea of the whole housing estate in Barcelona! The only thing we didn't enjoy was the expensive and not very tasty coffee and ice-cream in the shop of Park Guel. We liked that the Gaudi House museum was for free and we didn't have to book in advance, but there was a quite long waiting time and exhibition inside wasn't as rewarding as we thought it will be (some TV presentations and programs weren't even on, so just empty rooms?) Also if you have children with you, we recommend (as we did), to take a taxi (or bus) up the steep hill leading to Park GUELL and they'll enjoy more the Park itself. The view from the bench is UNFORGETTABLE!!!
Because if road works below the park after getting off blue line hop on hop off bus, ask directions to walkup to entrance.
At first, I thought I booked it for a very early hour (9am). But it was a very good timing, as it was so hot in Barcelona that between 9 and 11am we had the chance to enjoy everything before it got too hot for me and my child. Loved it, it's a utopia meeting real life.
We visited 12 years ago when it was free to visit. It's a definite must but this time felt a bit too touristy. It's still a wonderful place to go and Gaudi's bench is spectacular! We had a few tickets problems. Need to allow 48hrs in advance to receive online confirmation in time.
