Would have liked to be able to book the tour inside the statue in the app, did not know it was an option until we got to the top of the park.

Traveling to the top of the Statue was amazing, great views, u can buy a ticket in advance for a time slot but I got there when the park opened and had no problem buying $25 AUD a ticket and going on the statue tour (30-40mins), wait was only 10mins, I expected to stay at the park for 1-2hours but was there for 2-4hours, so scenic and free cultural Dave show as part of the entry ticket, worth a visit for sure, also if u don’t want to walk up to the statue there is a shuttle (40k - 4AUD PP), plenty of drinks station available. Have a great time.

Full description

Rising from the rugged hills of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, the magnificent Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue watches over the island. The towering statue is Bali’s most iconic landmark and depicts the Hindu God Wisnu and the mythical eagle, Garuda.


Designed by renowned Balinese artist Nyoman Nuarta, the Garuda is the national emblem of Indonesia, an enduring symbol of freedom from oppression. Soaring to a height of almost 400 feet, this is one of the tallest monumental statues in the world.

The statue makes a stunning central feature of GWK Cultural Park, a fascinating 60-hectare cultural park that provides a glimpse into Bali’s heritage through cultural performances, folk tales, and immense sculptures.
