Kings Canyon: Full-Day Tour from Ayers Rock Resort

1. Kings Canyon: Full-Day Tour from Ayers Rock Resort

Travel from Ayers Rock Resort to the beautiful Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station along the way. Once at Kings Canyon, you'll make the rock climb to its rim for some marvelous views of Watarrka National Park and the spectacular surroundings. Follow the rim of the canyon along the 3-hour circuit walk, stopping to look down into the canyon gorge at various look-out points along the way. Time permitting, you may choose to descend into the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden.' While the tour is recommended for those with a good level of fitness, you may opt for the easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor. Then, you can grab lunch at your own expense. Finally, begin your return journey to Ayers Rock Resort.

Great experience overall. The guides were lovely and very informative. All the locations we went to and the river bed walk was amazing. The only thing I will say is there was an overwhelming amount of fear put into us if we were to choose the rim walk due to the steep incline and decline to access this walk. As we are aware companies do need protect themselves and make sure that the customers are also protected but I think a little less fear mongering would of been better as we did speak to those who did the rim walk and they all agreed it was no where near as bad as what it was made out to be. Aside from that guys you did an amazing job and the tour was great!

Hard work up lots of uneven steps and across stony ground. So make sure you wear sturdy shoes. And at this time of the year it was very cold so rug up. Very interesting commentary from guides. The views are amazing so worth a fairly long bus trip.

Both tour guides were great telling us the stories on the way to and back, good interim breaks on the drive and when hiking.

We had a great day out, exploring kings canyon and the surrounding area. The tour guides and bus dirver were awesome.

Great to see country side and here about the story’s and stop off at the cattle staitions
