The tour was very well organized! The driver came to pick us up very early in the morning (5.45 am) but the trip was very comfortable and the route had incredible landscapes especially at the sunrise. Once arrived at Gansaabi we were welcomed by the staff and had a briefing about the big 5 and the security on the boat. Then we took the boat and we went out for 2 hours. It was incredible and we were very lucky: the sea was calm and we saw ALL the big 5 (a whale even jumped in front of us!!). The crew was amazing and we had a marine biologist with us, she explained everything we saw. Then we had a debriefing and a quick lunch (soup and bread) before going back to Cape Town. Thanks for the wonderful experience!!!

We were really lucky and experienced 4 out of 5. The whales in particular gave us a good show The journey took 3hrs !! The driver told us to have a sleep but he will be keeping the radio on because he had been up early ? We were supposed to go to the penguin sanctuary, this did not happen?? We waited ages for other users to get takeaway food, which they ate in the minibus. We then had to suffer the smell of their food. Not a good experience.

Nice experience, it's a must if you go in South Africa. A little bit expensive for what is offering, but at least a portion for the ticket is going for helping the penguins. i haven't saw any whales, but i have been off season (the chance of seeing a whale was very small)

The whole trip was excellent but what really made it so much more memorable and fun was Charlton, our brilliant guide. He was really knowledgable and tailored the day to our interests. Seeing whales so close was an outstanding, once in a lifetime experience.
