We started our tour at Ambuluwawa tower on top of a hill top. The spiral stair got tighter and tighter. About 4ft across at the top. My legs were like jelly. 4 people in front stopped me getting to the pinnacle. No passing possible. Next we went onto Pinnawal elephant orphanage where they were fed and taken down to the river to bathe. From there we went to a tea factory. Tasted some teas and enjoyed the description from our host into how they make them and why. From there we went to the royal botanical gardens where we enjoyed the different plants and trees. Finally a stop at Bahirawakanda Temple on the hill top. The guide for our day was Ramzan, he spoke excellent English and very kindly bought us some lemon biscuits and a bottle of water. he allowed us to adapt the day to suit what we wanted to do. where we wanted spend more time it was easily accommodated. he was a fantastic guide to have. 👍🏻

We had Danushka as our tour guide. He was very friendly and a very safe driver. We weren't interested in one of the stops on the tour. Danushka went out of his way to suggest alternatives and tailor the tour perfectly to our needs. We had as much time as we needed at the stops, and everything was always very relaxed. He told us lots of interesting things along the way. We can highly recommend the tour with Danushka – it's great value for money!
