Full description

Get the most out of your time in Ireland with a bus tour that takes in the best of Ireland's east coast in one day. See the Cliffs of Moher, Lisdoonvarna, the Burren and several of Ireland's most iconic archaeological sites, including the Poulnabrone Dolmen and Ballyalban Fairy Fort.

Departing from Galway's iconic Eyre Square, travel along the shores of Galway Bay to Ireland's "Soundest Town", Kinvara. There, feel like a medieval king or queen as you wander through the grounds of Dunguaire Castle.

Next, witness the rolling hills of the Burren and get an introduction to Ireland's archaeological history from your Failte Ireland-approved guide. Discover the prehistoric Gleninsheen wedge tomb and the Neolithic Poulnabrone Dolmen. Follow in the footsteps of fairies at Ballyalban Fairy Fort.

Pass through Kilfenora, home to the famous Celtic Crosses, and Lisdoonvarna, home to the world-famous matchmaking festival.

Stop for lunch in the traditional village of Doolin (at your own expense). Stroll around the village's brightly colored houses and traditional shops before continuing to the Cliffs of Moher, which you may recognize from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Enjoy 1.5 hours of free time to explore the 200-meter-high, 8-kilometer-long Cliffs of Moher at your own pace. On a clear day, see as far as the Aran Islands and hear the booming below as the waves crash at the sandstone.

On the way back to Galway, enjoy a final stop to take in the lunar-like landscapes of the Burren.

The trip to the Cliffs of Mother was wonderful! We made several stops along the way and our driver Dave, was very knowledgeable and informative. I learned a lot along the way about the Burren but the highlight was definitely the Cliffs! After seeing them in one of my favourite movies (The Princess Bride), it was great to finally see them in person! It was a beautiful hot day (maybe a little too hot!) but a great trip! I highly recommend this for anyone in the Hallway or Dublin area!

thanks to John, our great driver and guide, calm, composed, funny and interesting, he knew how to make us spend a very good day in the Burren and at the Cliffs of Moher. The stop at the megalithic dolmen and the castle of Donataire were pleasant. The meal at the pub near Doolin was very well planned: table reserved for our group, fast service and delicious Irish short stew! I highly recommend this excursion.

Well organized tour. The stages are short, but right for what there is to see. The bus travels along a panoramic road that allows you to appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Two hours at the Cliff of Moher was enough to take a nice walk, sit and admire the scenery and take souvenir photos. The return was on schedule. If you don't want to rent a car (and therefore certainly enjoy greater freedom on the timing of the various stages), I recommend it as an excursion to admire this part of Ireland!
