Planning your Galway visit

What to eat in Galway?

Irish pub culture is famous worldwide. While you're in Galway, we recommend sampling the local pub fare for dinner. You can't beat the company of a good beer and a hearty meal at a nearby pub.

How to get around Galway?

While we always recommend long walks to see the most while you're in any city, you'll find a developed bus and public transport system in this charming Irish town. Take a taxi late at night when the buses stop running.

What people are saying about Galway

A Taste of Real Ireland on the West Coast

I had a wonderful time throughout the day. We rode in a very comfortable mini bus with reclining seats, and our tour guide was very friendly and professional. The hike/entire experience at the farm in the Burren Mountains was truly fantastic; it was a really special experience with a warm and knowledgeable guide from the family who owns the farm (and the views upon the hill are incredible). Of course, the Cliffs of Moher were magical as well...I had been really looking forward to seeing them, and I was not disappointed, despite the weather being a bit grey and very windy. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous excursion into the Irish Countryside

We loved this tour to the Connemara and Kylemore Abbey. Our guide, Mike D., was funny and informative - we learned and laughed a lot. Would certainly recommend to others.

P.J. Our Travel Guide was the nicest, intelligent man i met!!

The Tour was worth every Cent! We saw beautiful landscapes and our Tour Guide made everything worth 4times as much. If you don't Book this Tour you miss something. If you do exact this Tour on you own by Car, you won't have P.J. And you have to Pay more at the Cliffs of Moher for example than a bus has to.

The trip was very interesting, and the driver is a very good guide.

Everything was excellent. The only criticism is that there was little time for frequent stopping and walking .

It was a day filled with breathtaking sights and wonderful history.

My Cliffs of Moher trip was spectacular. From walking the lovely streets of Galway to a short hike on a small mountain on a local farm, to the cliffs themselves, there were few moments I wasn’t in awe. And between each stop I learned a whole lot about the rich history of the Irish thanks to our amazing tour guide Caroline. She told it all with passion in her heart with an ease to follow. Don’t hesitate to book this tour. You see so much of Ireland in just one day. What put the icing on the cake was this gorgeous vibrant rainbow we saw on our way back to Dublin. I can't promise you'll see one but with Irelands weather, you have a good shot.
