What to Expect
For lovers of Italian design, the "Ape Calessino" (Italian Tuk Tuk) is a jewel that reflects the elegant lives of the 1960s. Its also the the best vehicle to get around in during the summer, thanks to the Cabrio version. The famous Italian factory Piaggio produced only 999 of these vehicles with 3 wheels.
You’ll have an exciting adventure along the south of the Apulia Ionian coast, where you’ll admire the wild Mediterranean villages Rivabella and Lido Conchiglie. You'll see beautiful rocky landscapes, ancient watchtowers, white beaches, typical ancient peasant houses known as "pagghiare," olive trees and clear seas. Discover the amazing beauty of the village Quattro Colonne with its ancient freshwater springs, and Santa Maria al Bagno with its beautiful golden beaches. You will also marvel at Santa Caterina with its ancient luxury houses.
Finally, set off on a beautiful walk up a small hill where you'll find one of the highest ancient watchtowers, the Torre dell’Alto. Enjoy breathtaking views from inside the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park or you can choose to go comfortably on board the Tuk Tuk to see another ancient watchtower, the Torre Uluzzo, which also offers a spectacular view from above.
