Shapes and Colors, 1949-2015 To celebrate the centenary of the artist’s birth, “Ellsworth Kelly. Shapes and Colors, 1949-2015” will be the first exhibition in France to offer a broad overview of the work of this significant artist of the second half of the 20th century - both in terms of its chronology and in terms of the media on display. Organized with Glenstone Museum (Potomac, Maryland) and in collaboration with the Ellsworth Kelly Studio, the exhibition brings together more than 100 works: paintings and sculptures as well as drawings, photographs and collages. The exhibition has been supported by loans from international institutions (the Art Institute of Chicago, Kröller-Müller Museum, Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Tate, Whitney Museum) as well as private collections. Ellsworth Kelly is regarded as one of the most significant American abstract painters and sculptors. His career, which spanned seven decades, was marked by his artistic independence from any school or movement, and by his groundbreaking contributions to 20th century painting and sculpture. Matisse: The Red Studio The Fondation, in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York and the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen (National Gallery of Denmark) - is hosting the exhibition Matisse: The Red Studio, focusing on the genesis and history of this famous 1911 masterpiece, one of MoMA’s iconic works since its acquisition in 1949. The large canvas depicts the artist’s studio filled with his paintings and sculptures, furniture, and decorative objects. This exhibition reunites the artworks shown in The Red Studio for the first time since they left Matisse’s studio in Issy- les-Moulineaux. The presentation also includes archival material and related paintings and drawings.

Amazing easy way to get a ticket to a show in another country. The ticket also allowed us all day access to a show with mostly timed tickets. We didn't have to go through the main gate, our entrance line was much smaller than general admission. I was surprised at how good our tickets were. We never really waited in line and that's a good thing on a cold Paris day!!!

Incredible exhibition at a great venue. Taxi travel to get there and back was very expensive but I don't know the city and it wasn't at all clear from my ticket if I had to arrive at a certain time. (I therefore aimed to arrive as soon as possible.) That could have been better.

Wonderful museum by Frank O. Gehry in the fantastic Bois de Boulogne. Every exhibition is worth a metro ride to the park. We were deeply impressed by the building in sunny weather - be sure to bring sunglasses (lots of bright surfaces and wonderful terraces in the building).

Other than a problem with the plumbing and availability of toilet facilities when we first arrived, the museum was fantastic. The exhibit was tremendous, comprehensive and beautifully presented.

The show was beautiful and loved seeing so many of his works.
