Francisco was a great guide and very well informed about the island and its history. Only disappointment, beyond the control of the tour, was that the larva pools were shut due to bad weather. As these had been closed for a little while, it would have been nice to have been told this before the tour. Lunch (not included) was good.

Diogo was an excellent guide. He was informative and fun. He made the sightseeing and trip so much better even when there was a point where the weather did not co-operate. The tour was great despite being unable to swim at the pools. He took us on an adventure. We saw so much of Madeira north and west. He showed us the plantation fruit growth and levada trails. He took us on an off-roading adventure into a dense forest, all the while being very informative and outgoing.

The tour was epic! We loved every minute of it and are so glad we chose this specific tour. We were picked up by our amazing guide Gil Sousa in a 4x4 LandRover. Gil is super knowledgeable and very passionate about the island. He took us off the beaten track to show us hidden gems that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. He made us all feel very welcome and we had a lot of fun during the day. The tour was filled with nature, adventure and just the right amount of interesting facts and history of the island. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to see more of Madeira.
