Escape the hustle and bustle of Funchal city center on a full-day jeep safari and forest walk in Madeira.
Following a pick-up from your hotel (available from accommodation in Funchal, Caniço, and Camera de Lobos), transfer by jeep to a spectacular viewpoint for beautiful views of the Bay of Funchal. Then, drive off-road and inland to Pico do Arieiro (1,818 meters), where the landscapes are a dream.
Next, go to Ribeiro Frio for a 45-minute hike along the Balcões Levada through the indigenous flora of the Laurissilva Forest. Transfer by jeep to the romantic village of Santo da Serra for a typical Madeiran lunch (own expense).
Continue after lunch to the seaside village of Santa Cruz on Madeira’s east coast. End with a panoramic view from the Cristo Rei view point in Garajau. Admire the coastal views of Garajau, Caniço, and Funchal Bay.
