Full description
Queimadas’ House is a true fairy tale which sits in a green paradise. Walking until you reach a majestic waterfall, you will notice that your surroundings are remarkably green. Along the way you will be rewarded with magnificent views over the village of São Jorge, as well as the great neighboring mountains.
The water is always present along the walk. You can see the water gushing from the walls, flowing on the "levada", and falling from the sky on raining days. It’s a fantastic trail, and is 100% safe all year long.
You will find some tunnels along the way, so do not forget your flashlight and protect your head with a helmet. Arriving at Caldeirão Verde, you will be able to immerse yourself in the breathtaking views of the huge waterfall cascading over the cold and crystalline lagoon.
