We thought it was a good deal for taking us to the Cabo Giraz and Camara dos Lobos, since even though there is a bus that takes you there, it was complicated to figure out the schedule, where to take it from and how much it costs. The driving on the narrow roads is not for the faint of hearts, hats off to these drivers navigating those big buses. We did not get a chance to take advantage of the wine tasting and the embroideries museum because it was the Saturday before Easter and they were closed. If you want to get to Monte using this bus, get the red bus not the yellow.

My group of 4 had just arrived on Madeira Island and after checking into the hotel, immediately jumped on the Hop On Hop Off bus and went the whole circuit without getting off! It was the perfect way to see beautiful Funchal and the gorgeous island Of Madeira!

We were able to use the bus three days running by validating the ticket at 12.49. We also didn't have to stick to the days we had booked for. The buses ran every 30 or 35 minutes but often stretched over those times leaving us at the bus stop for over half an hour on two occasions, but the routes were quite comprehensive.
