What to Expect
This excursion first stops at Pico dos Barcelos, where you can enjoy superb views of Funchal, before winding its way up the mountain to the viewpoint of Eira do Serrado. Here you can admire the superb views over the village of Curral das Freiras.
From here, you travel through the hills to Monte, the delightful picturesque hamlet situated above Funchal famed for its beautiful church, public gardens, and toboggan run. If you wish, you can be whisked down the 2-kilometer run to experience this unique mode of transport.
