Full description
The waters of Madeira island are very rich in cetaceans - including 29 different species. On this boat trip you head towards Cabo Girão, which is the second highest sea cliff in the world. On the way there, you will see dolphins and whales. The crew will stop the boat for about 20 minutes so you may enjoy a swim in the ocean, if conditions allow. On the way back, you will sail closer to land in order to enjoy the view while listening to interesting information from your guide. As the boat is smaller than other boats you may find on Madeira Island, this allows for the animals to get very close to you. Your certified guide is an expert who can explain everything you need to know about the sighted sea life. The company also provides a photo report of your trip, bottled water, and raincoats. The trip is run with a maximum of 10 people and a minimum of 2, so you get a more personalized experience.

Everything was great. We did the tour in January with our 5 year old daughter. The tour was in English, very easy to understand, we translated the most important things for our daughter, the kids want to see more than hear anyway;) We were able to observe three types of dolphins. It is driven out in a small inflatable boat, with comfortable seats and good holding possibilities in rows of 2. After 1.5 hours we had to break off because of seasickness from me and my daughter. That was very uncomfortable for the guides, but totally okay for us, nobody could help it. We were able to leave our things in the cottage at the port, the tour was photographed by the guides and made available to us as a download shortly after the tour. So your own smartphone was not in danger. Highly recommended.

A trip to remember

The trip to see dolphins and whales was such a good experience. The vast benefit of choosing a smaller company got to show when the small motorboat got us so close to the dolphins that they appeared just in front of us in the water. This would not be possible with the big catamarans. We saw a lot of dolphins and 2 different species of whales which the crew could tell us a lot about. On the topic, the crew were so friendly and accommodating. They were very professional and had a lot of interesting things to say about the dolphins and whales. You could feel their passion about the marine life. Moreover, we got to swim with the dolphins, which was a great experience. All in all a fantastic trip. Would recommend it to anyone.

My family and I had a brilliant brilliant time. The original boat we’d booked wasn’t available so we were all upgraded to a luxury catamaran which was unbelievable. We were offered drinks and snacks by the crew. The staff were fantastic and had excellent marine biology knowledge about the animals. They were really respectful to the animals too not getting too close or going too fast near them. I would completely recommend this company to anyone who wants to get close to nature
