Good trip in case you want to see top views of west Madeira. It's all you can get out of it so like a bus / taxi to miraduros with a nice and friendly driver. I think the free time in the cites on a way to Porto Moniz is rather wasted as apart from bringing clients to local shops and restourant there is not much of valuable information or explanation. About porto moniz itself 2 hours there is way too long especially in case weather is bad. There is nothing to do in this city outside of natural ocean pools to which not everyone taking a trip want go to or can go to if its windy and cold. 1 hour would make much more sense in case you want to swim you do it in case you want to eat you do it. Lunch sellout as well as souvenir sellout on each stop is also quite boring but I guess its a part of the business. I would recommend to either add lunch to the trip price or not do sellout at all

It was really a very nice day trip that left many impressions. There was enough time at each stop, so that great souvenir photos could also be taken. What surprised us the most was the different weather conditions in the west of the island. Started in Funchal in sunshine, up to the highest point of the island (above the clouds) in wind and cold, down to Porto Moniz in cloudy skies and cooler temperatures and back in Funchal in sunshine. But it's definitely worth it and we would do the tour again. In addition, our guide spoke very good English and German, so that everyone could understand everything.

The tour guide led the tour in a very informative and personable manner. The ride itself was quite interesting. Negative: the pick-up point was given incorrectly by the organizer Lido-Tours and get your guide unsettled us with a pick-up time that was much too early, which they informed us the evening before ("between 8 a.m. and 8.30 a.m., instead of the actual 8.40 a.m. by the organizer).
