Awesome event you should definitely join!

After having some trouble with the booking (it has not arrived the Canyoning provider) we got on an easy way another opportunity on the next day (as a private tour). And what should I say - it has been fun at its best. A real adventure in the mountains and canyons of beautiful Madeira island! We were picked up at our hotel and went to Rubeiro Frio, approx. 30min ride. Then we had some time to change th clothes. With that we highly recommend to take the special shoes which are provided for an extra fee of 5€. It is a really good investment! :) And then the adventure started with Tagio and Filipe. Special thanks to those wonderful and cool guides (also to our driver!)! Was fun with you. All in all we enjoyed the tour, climbing and jumping from waterfalls and got some great impressions of Madeira's pure nature. Tl;dr: Do it! Otherwise you will miss an awesome adventure!

At the beginning the guides asked us to hurry up when we moved, so we are the first group in the canyon. In our group of 10, we were the oldest in our mid-thirties. The following group from another provider seemed a bit bigger. Arriving at the Canyon, it was already going on abseiling at a waterfall, because you get a bit tummy tingling, if you have never done that. Nevertheless, the guides have brought each of us safely down, and the first waterfall was not the highest. There were a few jumps and two slide passages. The waterfalls were the most fun ...

    Very cool recreational sports!

I did it for the first time and would do it again immediately :) We were a small group of 5 people and 2 guides. The latter were very nice and made you feel very safe. 13 m was the highest waterfall we have rappelled and 5 m was the highest jump - just awesome. There is also a small snack.
