Full description

Spot dolphins, whales, and other sea mammals in their natural habitat on this catamaran cruise along Fuerteventura’s southern coast. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling with the gear provided. Relax onboard with some tapas and a drink.

Start with a visit to the harbor to marvel at the beautiful manta rays that live here and watch this beautiful creature swimming along the bottom of the sea floor. After the manta ray viewing, it's time to hop on board your sailing boat for the day for a short briefing of the day’s itinerary.

Then it’s time to set sail and leave the harbor. Heading out towards the open seas the captain will bring up the sails and turn off the engine.

Listen to the radio communications from local fishermen and listen out for sightings of marine wildlife, including dolphins and whales. If they’re in the area, the captain will sail the boat towards them for the chance to take some photos and admire these elegant creatures up close.

During the rest of the sail, enjoy the stunning sea views that surround you and soak up the glorious Fuerteventura sunshine.

After about 2 hours of sailing, your captain will drop anchor, giving you some time to go swimming and snorkeling in the shimmering blue waters. After your swim, enjoy a selection of tapas made from local recipes and relax with a drink as you sail back to shore.

Fab day from start to finish. Jose met us at the harbour with 6 others. The boat was beautiful & so clean. Items (bags, shoes etc) are left downstairs in the living quarters and the fun is had on deck. Jose explained the day to us all & then sailed in style. Jose told us where to look for the dolphins & whales, explaining how all the boats out at sea communicate with each other should any be spotted. We stopped near the bay to swim in the sea / sunbathe on deck then delicious tapas were served - all tastes were catered for - veggies & meat eaters. There were drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) a plenty throughout the day, either help yourself or Jose served. Amazing experience, we will definitely book again (directly with Flounders). Note: we were told to meet outside the Restaurant Cofradia so we paid for a taxi there. However, Jose had collected the others from their hotels, one being next to ours! Check with the guide/Skipper in advance. Jose drove us back - thank you.

Very good organizer and skipper. We saw dolphins and it was all very good. However, one should keep in mind that it is a sailing boat and that it can also go into an inclined position when the sails are set. If someone has problems with seasickness or their bones, it is better to speak to the organizer beforehand. Can only recommend the tour.

I sailed with them once before in May of this year and was totally thrilled. At that time we also saw dolphins and the skipper was in a good mood and often spoke to us and it was very pleasant with him. This time it was another skipper who unfortunately also had a cold, so he wasn't in a good mood either, which was understandable. The weather was perfect but unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins. Maybe it was because we didn't sail to the same spots as last time. There were no other ships near us like last time.
