Full description
Your adventure begins with pickup from your Hervey Bay accommodation, or make your own way to River Heads. Take a 40-minute ferry ride to Fraser Island, keeping a look out for dolphins, turtles, and other marine life. Once on the island, your local guide will take you to see the stunning natural sights.   Learn fascinating facts about the island’s history, and its fauna and flora. Travel in an air-conditioned bus to Central Station, a former logging station. Then stroll along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk to discover the ancient king ferns, towering ghost gums, and pine trees. Continue to Lake McKenzie and swim in the crystal blue waters or relax on the sandy beaches. The next stop is Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Choose to take a flight over the island (at additional cost), or float down Eli Creek. Visit the Maheno shipwreck and enjoy a photo stop at the rusting wreck of the Maheno. Te tour was very nice but my first guide (Bush or something like that) was so un polite with me because I was confused about the bus we have to board. He yell at me and he snatched my phone from my hands! and he pulled me to put the seat bel on me, I coulddo it by myself. Completely unnecessary. I reported him and the agency assigned to me another guide. The new one was very kind and professional.

wonderful experience, fabulous driver very knowledgeable. Steve really looked after everyone. If travelling with a small child you need to take car seat or you won't be allowed on the tour, I didn't find this out till the evening before. this should be on website when booking, maybe less stressful for people and save time. One more off the bucket list.

Tour was great but we found the very long beach drive after lunch tiring and the full sun in our face the whole time was very unpleasant. Mark, the guide, was always full of interesting information with a great sense of humour (110% effort!) but unfortunately often we could not hear what he was saying due to the speaker system he was using.
